Day twelve: someone I admire

This one is rather tough. I've left it practically the last minute because I've been thinking about it all day. But I think I have come to a conclusion.

The person I admire would have to fall under a few stipulations. 1) They would have to be a person who, not only believes in God, but lives what they believe. 2) Someone who has gone through some of life's challenges and taken from them something that has, in turn, enriched their lives and made them more fruitful to God. 3) Care's deeply for everyone that they know.

The person that I most admire in the world (other that Jesus) is my dad.

(Just thought I'd label them in case you couldn't tell who's who ;)

My dad is every bit of the aforementioned qualities. He is a devout Christian, and lives like one too, which is actually something to say when a lot of "Christians" now-a-days just say they are because it seems like the "thing" to do...which is sad, to say the least.

Whenever I need guidance, I know I can always turn to my dad and ask him anything, and know that his answer not only come from personal experience and knowledge, but it also comes right out of the Bible, which is where it should come from.

This past year and a half my family has gone through the most trying time we have ever had to face. Maybe one day I'll make a post about that. But throughout this whole time, my dad has remained a rock. Sure there were moments when we all felt like breaking, including my dad. But even so we all remained firm, mainly because of my dad.

And my dad cares deeply for me. He cares deeply for God, my mom, and my sisters. Every person that has known my dad would say that he has touched their lives in one way or another.

I love my dad. <3 Thanks for being there for me!
