S.U.M.M.E.R.

When I saw that it has been almost 2 months since I last wrote anything on here I wondered to myself what I had been doing that has kept me from here . . .

And this is what I came up with:

1. Work
2. Family camping trip
3. Work
4. Two of my best high school friends got married AND I got to see my bestest friend in the whole world!
5. Work
6. I was a leader for my church's youth group's canoeing trip to the Algonquin Provincial Park in Ontario, Canada
7. Oh, and um, work
8. In a couple weeks I'm going to a music festival for 4 days

So yeah, life's been pretty busy. I'm actually looking forward to school starting in a month . . . never thought those words would ever cross my mind. But I actually like what I'm going to school for, plus it means that Fall is coming, and Fall is my absolute favorite season EVER!

But until then, I'm seeing beaches, frozen yogurt, sunscreen, iced tea + lemonade, watermelon, fresh produce from my garden, shorts and t-shirts, flipflops, and hot, Hot, HOT weather all in my near future. And I'm okay with that. :)

Ugh.

So I totally rear-ended someone yesterday. One of the worst moments in my life I think. But thankfully the lady I hit was so nice about it. She kept asking me if I was okay! Um, no lady, I'm not okay, I just rear-ended you and I'm about to get a ticket, how in the world would I be okay??

And yes, I got a ticket. Because I was at fault for "not stopping with a clear distance ahead."

Okay, wait, let me tell you what happened. I'm sitting a stop light and the light turns green. All the cars around me start to move forward. You know how you kinda take your foot of the brake and start to coast before speeding up? Well that's what I did, assuming that the lady in front of me was moving. Well....she wasn't. And then neither was I. So I think that technically it was her fault for not moving out of the way. She was being a hazard. Haha, yeah.

So now I have a ticket. My "first one". Aren't you supposed to get a warning for your first offense? Hmmmm...

I'm here!

How can this be???

I've just got to say that you are absolutely too amazing! Coming back here to check if I've written something since a month ago! I got to hand it to you...not sure what I'm gonna hand to you, but I'm handing you something.

Since my last post I have completed my first semester of Culinary School. It was pretty much the best time of my life. I was surprised to find that I could actually enjoy school AND be sad to see it over with. First time in my life, I tell you.

I also got a job! And one in the profession that I hope to be in one day. I got a job in a bakery! It's a small bakery, just me and the owner, and it's only a few days a week, but hey it's a job and what's even more important, it's valuable experience that I will take with me when I hopefully (fingers crossed!) open my own bakery one day.

So enough with the serious stuff now. It's summer! Well, at least it is for me. I consider May 4, the last day of class, as the first day of Summer for me. And it's gonna be full of swimming, camping, hanging out with friends, going to festivals, concerts, and road trips, and hopefully a ton of relaxation and reading. If you could see my face right now it would look a little like this:

Playing the Blame Game

I've gotten into a slump guys. And it's all this things fault:

 

 Yes. That is my new iPhone! Wooo!!! And because of its awesomeness, I find that I feel like I'm on the internet all the time, even when I'm not. And because of that I don't want to get on my blog.

But I think I'm over that now. Hopefully. I'm mean, I'm on here now aren't I?

Oh and another thing. I found this the other day while with some friends. It definitely made my day...
